England No.1s Marwan ElShorbagy and Georgina Kennedy have been named as the top seeds for the upcoming 2026 British National Squash Championships, which will return to St George’s Hill Lawn Tennis Club in Weybridge from 26th to 29th August.
There is no shortage of intrigue in the men’s draw, with the likes of World No.9 Marwan ElShorbagy, World No.10 Jonah Bryant and World No.15 Mohamed ElShorbagy all in contention for the coveted title.
Competing in his second British Nationals, and his first as top seed, 33-year-old Marwan will be hoping to add a British Nationals crown to his collection of 16 PSA Tour titles.

The 2024 semi-finalist will open up his account against [9/16] seed Heston Malik, with a potential quarter-final meeting with [5/8] seed Sam Todd lying in wait.
His older brother Mohamed, meanwhile, will be aiming to add a third British Nationals title to his decorated resume, having previously lifted the trophy in 2022 and 2023.
The former World Champion and World No.1 has been a formidable force at the British Nationals, losing just once in 13 matches, and will begin his latest title charge against 19-year-old [9/16] seed Oliver Tate.

With the ElShorbagy brothers named in the same half of the draw, the stage could be set for a blockbuster first-ever British Nationals meeting between the pair, with a potential semi-final showdown on the cards.
In the bottom half of the draw, No.2 seed Jonah Bryant will be hoping to add a first British Nationals title to his rapidly growing collection of achievements.
The 21-year-old has established himself as one of the brightest young stars on the PSA Tour over the last two years, and will kickstart his quest for the title against [9/16] seed Dylan Roberts.
Bryant’s leading rival in the bottom half of the draw is No.4 seed Curtis Malik, who last year secured a career-best semi-final finish at the British Nationals. The 27-year-old will take on fellow Englishman Ben Smith in the first round.
Meanwhile, in the women’s draw, World No.8 Kennedy will return to the British Nationals with her sights firmly set on reclaiming the title she won in 2024, having been forced to withdraw from last year’s championships due to injury.

Kennedy, who clinched Gold for England at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, will open her campaign against Scotland’s [9/16] seed Alison Thomson, with last year’s runner-up Torrie Malik [3/4] her projected semi-final opponent.
The England No.1 will face stiff competition for the title, though, in the form of two-time British Nationals winner Jasmine Hutton, who begins the 2026/27 season at a career-high rank of World No.12.
Hutton has enjoyed her fair share of success on the all-glass court at St George’s Hill, lifting the title at her home club in 2023. The No.2 seed is projected to face 5/8 seed Alicia Mead in the quarter-finals before a potential semi-final meeting with third seed Lucy Turmel.
Victory for Hutton would see her join an elite group of three-time champions including Sarah-Jane Perry and Tesni Murphy.

Elsewhere in the women’s draw, 3/4 seeds Turmel and Malik open up their title bids against Olivia Besant and Robyn McAlpine, while [5/8] seeds Grace Gear, Saran Nghiem, Alicia Mead and Millie Tomlinson will all be looking to upset the seedings and make a deep run in Weybridge.
