World No.5 Marwan ElShorbagy has withdrawn from the upcoming 2025 British National Squash Championships due to personal reasons.
ElShorbagy’s withdrawal sees his older brother and former World Champion, Mohamed, replace him as the No.2 seed in the men’s draw.
Other notable movements see up-and-coming star Jonah Bryant move up to No.3 seed and Curtis Malik named as the No.4 seed.
Meanwhile, Sam Todd, who was previously set to play in the qualifying event, has now been named in the main draw. He will face compatriot Simon Herbert in the first round.
In men’s qualifying, Samuel Osborne-Wylde has received a first-round bye through to the qualifying finals, as a result of Todd moving through to the main draw.
